I'm worried. My PM's have disappeared. Cold weather problem?

My Martins returned as usual in March of this year. The last few days, we have had very cold weather in eastern South Dakota. I have not seen my martins for the last 2-3 days. I'm concerned if they have died from the cold weather? Has anyone else had a problem? Dan

Morning Dan

If their forage disappeared, they are probably in search-of.
They went missing at a couple local sites, as well, but did return.
Sure hope your P.M.'s reappear, we need every one!
Have you seen any S.Y. birds in your area :?:
Our T.S. just returned for the fifth time, this spring!
Our Bluebirds nested /w 2 eggs, abandoned and re-nested!
Very rough spring for our Avian Friends, after 2 previous ones.
Nest of Luck, with the Purple Martins! ;)

Hope your Memorial Weekend is great, everyone.
Jerome

My birds have returned. They disappeared for about 4 days. And they are back. I wonder where they go when the weather turns bad? Do they fly a few hundred miles to find food, and then return? Such a mystery. But I'm glad they are back.

Hope someone hop's on with an answer to your question, regarding where
the P.M. go during inclement weather?

Is your group seeing any S.Y. birds returning :?:

Is your colony building?

How's nest building/egg production so far?
