Mr. G's first martin of the season, too.

Post by Caroline »

I've been helping an older man set up his gourds and care for his martins.

I had to be at his place at 8 a.m. to help him get his gourds hung and everything ready.

I no more than got back home when he called and said "I have a martin on the electric line!"

This was so worth dragging myself out of bed early for. He even gave me another huge rock/boulder to add to my front garden's border. It took both of us to get in my vehicle.

Birds everywhere. No I have to go check on The Colonel and Ms. R to see if they have birds. I can be a Nosey-Parker this time of year.

Hi Carol

That is great news. The season has begun. I am so glad that the Purple Martins have not arrived early. We don't need them to return so early with the weather being so unsuitable.
Best Regards
